ABOUT
My Scouting journey started a long time ago in state not too far away (Ohio) when I joined I my church’s Cub Scout Pack as a Tiger Cub. We went camping, visited a radio station, raced pinewood derby cars (a few years ago, I even raced my, very old very slow, car at our Pack’s Pinewood Derby) and we even had a cake decorating completion (I took first place!).
After 5 years in Cub Scouts, it was time to cross over to the Boy Scout program. I had so much fun as a Cub Scout, it was a no brainer to continue on. Over the next 7 years, Boy Scouts took me to backpacking in Allegheny National Forest, fishing in Canada, trekking through Yellowstone, and so much more. But my crowning achievement in Scouting came on March 1, 1997 when I finished my board of review and became an Eagle Scout.
I continued to help my Troop until I went off to college and lost contact with the Scouting program until a few years ago when my son was asking me questions about a shadow box my parents had given it to me at my Eagle Scout Court of Honor. It shows all of the merit badges and ranks that I had earned on my path to Eagle. My son started asking about what each patch meant and what I had to do to earn it. He was so excited we started looking for a Cub Scout Pack to join. That lead us here to Pack 457 and a few short months later I would become the Pack Treasurer, followed by Assistant Cubmaster and ultimately Cubmaster. I also sit on our council advancement committee where I help usher in the newest Eagle Scouts to our ranks.
Outside of Scouting, I’m a Director in the Technology Governance and Risk Management practice of Protiviti (a consulting company). I enjoy watching movies, running, hiking, and spending time with my family. My wife, son and daughter live in northern Cranberry Township.
