What We Did
In our annual tradition, our Scouts walked in Zelienople’s Miracle on Main Street Parade and handed out candy canes to the crowd.
About The Miracle on Main Street
This FREE community event includes a Santa Processional (parade), live nativity, horse & carriage rides, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, an appearance by Santa Claus, live Reindeer, Christmas carolers, Elsa and other characters to meet and greet!
The “Elf on the Shelf” treasure hunt will take you on a tour of Main St. merchants hosting warm cozy surprises inside each store.
This is Zelienople’s largest charity event! Through generous donations from local businesses and individuals, last year’s event allowed us to bless over 200 children with winter coats, 16 single mothers received brand new living room sets, we’ve collected more than 2 truck loads of toys & groceries to benefit the SouthWest Butler food cupboard, 120 purses were given to local shelters for women (including Light of Life and VOICE), and this year we’re adding “blessings in a backpack” to help fight childhood hunger in local elementary schools.
Potential Advancement
Participating in this meeting did not help our Scouts complete any advancement requirements, but was a fun way to help support our community.
